A unique choral experience for those with memory loss and their care partners.

Join us for a unique choral experience created for those with memory loss, volunteers, and/or care partners.

The Elevating Voices Experience:

A supportive, welcoming environment

No auditions or previous musical experience needed

Comfortable rehearsal space with good acoustics

Some familiar songs and some new ones too

Social time for singers and volunteers

Elevating Voices empowers people living with memory loss to find fulfillment and joy in being part of a chorus.

You May Be Wondering…Why Singing?

There are numerous health and social benefits of music and singing in a chorus:

It’s accessible – anyone can do it! (even if we’ve been told we can’t sing)

Studies show that the areas of the brain that recall music and nurture singing are among the last to be affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

Listening to music can change mood and impact behavior, and has even more benefits when being an active participant in making music.

Singing is aerobic, heart-healthy, and can help to improve posture, sleep, and swallowing

Choruses become community. Develop friendships and reduce the social isolation that often comes with memory loss.
