Walking Tour of Historic Downtown Perham

The History Museum of East Otter Tail County in coordination with the Otter Tail County Historical Society is offering a tour of historic downtown Perham on Tuesday, May 23, at 6:30 p.m. Meet at NP Park.
A city’s image is reflected in its architecture. Visitors and new residents notice and judge a town by its buildings and landscape. Our architecture shows where we have placed our values and our priorities at different times. It is a map of our history, leading us from the past to the present and on into our plans for tomorrow.
A walk through Perham’s downtown district reveals a treasure trove of historic buildings. Intricate brickwork, Commercial Italianate and Art Deco stylings, and odd symbols adorn many of these structures. During the tour you will discover who constructed these buildings, what they were used for and the stories behind them.
